Why are solids control systems important in oil drilling?

Solid control system, known as mud circulation system, it also be named mud purification system, is a set of equipment used to deal with solid particles in the drilling fluid. 

Solid control system removing solid particles such as rock chips, mud and sand from drilling fluids, and improving the cleanliness of drilling fluids. Maintaining stable performance of drilling fluid, such as density, viscosity, and water loss. Reduce the consumption of drilling fluid and lower drilling cost. Protect the drilling equipment and prolong the service life of the equipment.

AIPU Solid Control is involves in design and manufacture solids control system since 2013. It is suitable for drilling process of 2000-9000m oil wells. The oil solids control system is composed of 3 to 7 mud tanks. The tanks of the whole circulation system can be separated from each other and connected with each other to meet the needs of drilling operation, in which the bottom valve of the suction pipe sink is flexible to open and close. The solid control system usually consists of:

1.Shale shaker is used to separate the larger particles of rock chips.
2.Desander and desilter to further remove fine sand and mud particles from the drilling fluid. Some user prefer the mud cleaner that is three in one equipment, desander, desilter and bottom shaker.
3.Centrifuges is capable of separating finer solid particles and colloidal materials from the drilling fluid.
4.Mud gitators and jet mud mixers ensure that the drilling fluid is evenly mixed in the system and prevent solid particles from settling.
5.Mud tanks are for storing and circulating drilling fluids.
6.Electric control system is automated control and monitoring of each equipment of the solid control system.
